Growing up near the picturesque Blue Ridge Mountains in Virginia, Patricia acquired a love for her natural surroundings at an early age, finding nature to be a peaceful, calming refuge from daily life. Patricia creates her work from a place of deeply felt emotion, directly derived from her experiences and her unique interpretation of her environment. Through the use of subdued color and simplified form, she transports her viewers into a dreamlike realm, portraying an idealized scene of serenity and beauty.
Patricia’s primary focus is oil landscape painting in the tonalist vein, fueled by an unending passion for delving into the inherent, sensed energy emanating from cloud formations and quiet pastoral settings.
