Liz Auffant is a local artist who grew up on the seacoast of New Hampshire. She graduated in 2018 with her Bachelor’s of Fine Art from the University of Massachusetts-Lowell. Liz specializes in oil paint but has worked with multiple other mediums such as acrylic, akua ink, gauche and watercolor. Her rain series, completed after graduation, is a reflection of her infatuation with rain and the way a simple drop of water seems to change the very fabric of life, altering people’s moods and shifting the atmosphere. Through her art, Auffant attempts to touch upon our complicated relationship with nature and the environment.
