Lin Albertson-Thorpe’s degree in illustration has offered her the opportunity to complete many diverse projects, from commissioned art for published book covers, advertising, MFA giftware, greeting cards, and house portraits, to the more personal expression of fine art watercolors and oils.

Often saying “I will paint on almost anything”, Lin has had her work enhance a wide variety of surfaces beyond the more traditional paper and canvas, including furniture, shoes, pottery, rocks, floor cloths, murals, clothing, greeting cards, and now - fire buckets. Lin’s latest illustration venture has been a line of HippoParody greeting cards based on well-known works of art recreated as hippos (her favorite animal).

Along with her work as a picture framer at Kennedy Gallery in Portsmouth, Lin continues to pursue her art in all of its various forms.
