Biography

Being the daughter of a world-renowned naval architect and growing up in the seaside community of Scituate, MA, much of Catherine’s artistic inspiration is shaped by the environment she was raised in. The narrative of the sea and the rich, varied landscapes that personify New England are pervasive in her work. She strives to render her subjects with a bright, bold palette and clean, strong lines while aiming for graphic simplicity in shape, feel, shadow, texture and light.
Catherine has been featured on both Boston’s Chronicle and New Hampshire’s Chronicle and Windows to The Wild. She is published nationally and internationally, including Important World Artists and International Contemporary Masters, as well as Coastal Home magazine. Her art has displayed at the New Hampshire State House and she has exhibited in New York and abroad at Art en Capital in Paris, France and Galleria De’ Marchi, Bologna, Italy. She has also been juried many times into the prestigious Hudson Valley Art Association and Lyme Art Association Exhibitions. Catherine is represented at galleries throughout New England and has exhibited in more than 100 shows.
