SUMMARY:"Fall on Me"
DESCRIPTION:Throughout the month of October Kennedy Gallery will present the recent paintings of Holly Lombardo. Titled “ Fall on Me”\, this show is “an ode to the changing seasons and a voyage into the colors and details that are starting to take place in the land\, in the sky\, and at sea.” Holly’s paintings reflect her attention to light and its effect on the landscape – the dappled sunlight on the trunks of pines\, the burst of sun between two trees\, the blues and purples of shadows on the snow\, and the shades of blue and green in the ocean.

SUMMARY:Undercurrents
DESCRIPTION:“UNDERCURRENTS” \n                                                                                        \nFor the month of April\, Kennedy Gallery is pleased to display original paintings by Ann Trainor Domingue. Things that influence how we make decisions\, ideas that are part of the fabric of our everyday life\, imagery that evokes thoughts of the past\, present or future are all part of Ann Trainor Domingue’s current series titled ‘Undercurrents.’ Some ideas are obvious and literal while others take a bit more reflection to discover. While painting this series it was not obvious\, even to Ann\, what was coming from the past \, present or future. Ann enjoys painting through the process and letting whatever needs to\, come to the surface and she’s still incorporating coastal imagery as she explores further. \n     \nPlease join us for an Opening Reception on Friday\, March 1\, from 5-8 p.m. in conjunction with the monthly Art Round Town Gallery Walk.

SUMMARY:The Sea and The Shore
DESCRIPTION:“THE SEA AND THE SHORE”: Marine Oil Paintings by Christopher Volpe \nThrough the months of January and February\, Kennedy Gallery will present The Sea and The Shore\, a two-month show of marine oil paintings by noted local artist Christopher Volpe. Ranging in size from inches to feet\, Volpe’s paintings evolve from earlier studies and plein air work. Using the natural world as a metaphor for human experience\, Volpe said “I’m painting the ocean\, but it feels more like I’m trying to make these little snapshots of eternity. For me\, in this series\, I’m trying to express in contemporary terms what it feels like to experience our smallness in the face of the vastness of time and nature at its most elemental.”

SUMMARY:A Different Frame of Mind
DESCRIPTION:“A Different Frame of Mind”: Employee Art Show \nTo work in an art gallery and to be a custom framer requires certain skill sets. Color\, design\, and technical know-how are involved in almost every facet of what we do here at Kennedy Gallery and Custom Framing. So\, it might come as no surprise that the staff at the gallery are all somehow involved in the arts in their personal lives. For the month March Kennedy Gallery and Custom Framing is pleased to feature the original artwork of Lin Albertson-Thorpe\, Jeffery Irwin\, Olivia Nelson\, Rosanne Stavola\, and Meghan Voss\, all of whom are employees at the gallery.\n\nPrintmaking\, painting\, illustration\, and photography will all be featured in this diverse show. The artists/framers will use their own medium and personal style to reflect upon local and regional imagery. Kennedy Gallery specializes in local scenes by local artists so what better way to examine local work than to investigate our own work room!\n \n \nPlease join us for an Opening Reception on Friday\, March 2\, from 5-8 pm in conjunction with the monthly Art Round Town Gallery Walk.
